I also want to wear a real bull ring in the future

by Bull Ring Tom »Tue 27 Mar 2018 20:54

These three guys make me really pissed! I hope to soon find the courage to wear a real thick bull nose ring in public with the same confidence.

I'm brand new here. After having wanted to do this for a few months, I finally made the decision last Saturday: I also had my septum pierced!

Lately you can see more and more men who have dared to take this step. Every time I meet a guy like that on the street, I think: Wow !!! The other day I even saw one whose septum was pierced by a really thick bull nose ring, like in the three pictures here. It made him look incredibly cool ..... Actually, that was exactly what I've wanted for a long time ...

But at the same time I had shied away from it, because if I had my septum pierced, my new nose ring would be an eye-catcher immediately. To make one thing clear: it should either be a serious one or none at all. Those thin, cute rings that you occasionally see on men, or those little horseshoes where only the tips protrude a bit from the nostrils are not my thing.

If you decide as a man to have your nose pierced, then like those three guys you should have the courage to wear a really brutal fat bull ring, one that looks really strong and wild, that is at least 5mm all around thick stainless steel has to show. It should be a completely closed one that not only concealed inside across your pierced septum hole, but also completely visible outside under your muzzle through from one nasal cavity to the other and closed on your upper lip with a round ball. And in this case nobody will overlook the fact that you are wearing a real bull ring, because it is always inescapably full in view, and it, also because the intrusive, shiny precious metal stands out very strongly from your skin, for you as a new nose ring wearer henceforth will probably be the most gaze-focussing feature of your physionomy per se.

For this very reason I still have a lot of questions. Because none of my male relatives, friends or colleagues wears a septum ring so far, which makes my choice for a bull-like thick one even more daring, I would like to ask these questions in this forum to other men who already have experience with it.

To name a few: is it difficult to get used to having a piece of hard, thick metal sticking straight through your septum hole? Will such a thick bull ring cause skin irritation because it constantly presses on your upper lip? Will it prevent you from breathing because it (partially) closes your nasal cavities? Will it be difficult to blow your nose? Does it interfere with eating and drinking? Etc. Etc. And, of course, whether you have to reckon with a lot of negative comments and critical looks, especially as a man.

My piercer has already seen some of this, but because he doesn't wear a heavy bull ring himself, the advice of other bull ring wearers would be very welcome.

Could you say "bull ring" a few more times? I think I haven't quite got it yet ...

Don't cops have a bull ring so they can be chained? Is that the point when someone wears a bull ring? But then does the bull ring have to be made of precious metal (gold, platinum)? Or am I completely wrong about the bull ring?
Don't know if tattoos are art?

So not really. I grew up in the village. The lead rope was tied to the bull ring and even a boy, not just a man, could literally lead the bull by the nose. Nobody looked critically. There were no negative comments either.

Kinners, although it may be difficult, I would ask you to respond appropriately. Or just none. Thanks. | n8ght

Hello n8ght, thank you! It is actually a serious question on my part about the experiences of the few who already wear a bull ring. I hope that where the outside world is quick to ridicule what it does not immediately understand, at least in this niche forum this does not happen immediately.

Tom, in the future, pack all the answers in one post (and be more sparing with the quotations, that makes it even easier to read). For example like this:

@bass: lorem ipsum blah blah

@martiari thank you, this and that ..

@ n8ght yes, I also think that the yen is bubbly compared to the euro

We can do it with the given context

I just have a stick in there that is barely visible in my nose.

Do you know that when you have the septum pierced, you have to stretch a few millimeters? I did that for a while, it was annoying and painful, so I let it go again!

@MartiAri Couldn't you just have it punched to the desired size?

Yes, the piercer has already made that clear to me. Before I had my septum pierced, I had my nose checked carefully for its ability to stretch and thus its suitability for a bull ring. The piercer then felt around with his fingers in my nasal cavity to get a detailed impression of my septum and its 'sweet spot'. I was annoyed, but wrongly: the result was unreservedly positive. The piercer explained that my nose was predestined, so to speak, for a really brutally strong bull ring.

For example, a 5 mm ring with a 19 mm diameter, like the guys in the pictures, wouldn't be a problem at all in my case; at first, significantly higher numbers could probably be achieved. My pierced septum, he estimated the distance between the septum and the cartilage, would, after a gradual stretching process, be able to withstand a hole 7 mm wide without constantly putting pressure on the cartilage with the then quite thick metal rod, while mine Nasal cavities were wide enough not to be hindered in their breathing function by a ring of this thickness. Because I have a rather voluminous nose, my 'sweet spot' is also far forward, with the result that in my case such a fat bull ring will by no means touch the upper lip and will always dangle freely.

After some deliberation, we agreed to actually consider 7 / 19mm as the end goal. According to the piercer, the septum hole could be stretched 1mm every 2 months, which means that I can get it from 1.6 to 2.5 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6 to 7mm in one year!
